Which is good, since you've warned the House GOP that they face an electoral "bloodbath" if they can't managed to get a repeal-and-replace thang done after seven years of kvetching about the ACA.[9]<\/p>\n

It's just a shame, Donald, that doctors and hospitals aren't thrilled by the plan.[10] Seems they have some zany concerns that reducing Medicaid, shifting away from needs-based support for health insurance assistance, and messing up the risk pool will mean that the cost of health insurance will go up and the neediest people out there will be thrown out into the cold.<\/p>\n

Silly doctors. What do they know about health insurance reform? I mean, that stuff is more complicated that anyone knew! [11]<\/p>\n

Now that the meeting has finally taken place[8], Rep. Cummings had a bit more nuanced and detailed description of the meeting.[7]<\/p>\n

'Cummings, a senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus, said he spoke about African Americans in response to speeches in which Trump has referred to "carnage" in the "inner cities." The president has frequently described cities, including Baltimore, in dire terms.<\/i><\/p>\n

"I said to him, 'Mr. President, most respectfully, when you're talking about the African-American community, I want you to realize that all African-American communities are not places of depression, where people are being harmed,'" the Baltimore lawmaker said.'<\/i><\/p>\n

All of which is very nice, to be sure, though both articles are basically just referring to the ADP report that you had already tweeted about earlier in the day.[5] Victory laps are fine, Donald, but (as your PR people are no doubt aware) repeating the same news in different ways can give the impression that multiple people are independently confirming the information. This is just multiple sources (well, Fox) reporting on the same ADP news as each other.<\/p>\n

Which, again, is that promises<\/i> of deregulation and lower taxes (plus an unseasonably warm winter, hmmmm) are leading to an uptick in hiring. Which is great for the people being hired, as long as your promises follow through. It might not be so great for workers or folks in the vicinity of the work when all those safety and discrimination and environmental regulations get lopped away, but, hey, they should be grateful to have jobs, dammit!<\/p>\n

And that was it. No rants. No insults hurtled at Arnold. No bleating about the Fake News Press Media Enemies. No allegations of wiretapping or conspiracies or pollution of precious bodily fluids. It was a downright placid day, Donald<\/p>\n
