As major American institutions and critical bits of national governance, the White House Easter Egg Roll is hardly up there with wartime decisions, fiscal policy, or promoting the general welfare.<\/p>\n

And yet, as a century-plus institution, it's a tradition that one would expect the White House to be able to plan around. And it's something that's, publicity-wise, pretty prominent for national news blurbs and for the people of the Washington, DC, area.<\/p>\n

Which makes the impending scaled-down, half-assed event somehow strangely indicative of the Trump White House. Lack of coordination, lack of leadership, lack of staffing, an absentee First Lady, warning messages being disregarded, tickets not being distributed …<\/p>\n

Yeah, glad to see that smooth, professional Business Genius making great deals and brilliant execution the standard we are coming to know and love.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
