In the memo you mention,[9] Sessions basically ratchets up all prosections around illegal border crossings:<\/p>\n

Most of which sounds fine, Donald, in terms of prosecuting people who are real and present dangers — though "prior administrative … violations" and "identity theft" sort of includes a broad swath of folk who buy a fake Social Security card for work, or have previously been identified as being present in the country illegally. I.e., pretty much anyone CBP can lay their hands on — even if they are in the US having fled from<\/i> a war zone, not because they're gang members or cartel henchmen.<\/p>\n
