Ideological philosophy is often couched in highfalutin words, spoken of in a distant and third-person structure, that obfuscates the actual meaning of what's being said.<\/p>\n

And sometimes, the truth just sort of blurts out.<\/p>\n

'As [Utah GOP Senator Orrin Hatch] left a meeting in the Capitol of the Senate health care working group, which is trying to craft compromise legislation that can pass the Senate without Democrats, Hatch was asked by a reporter, "How does the public's perception of what the House did affect what you are doing?"<\/i><\/p>\n

"The public wants every dime they can be given," he said. "Let's face it, once you get them on the dole, they'll take every dime they can.<\/strong> We've got to find some way of getting things under control or this country and your future is going to be gone."'<\/i><\/p>\n

Hey, Sen. Hatch … you know that "public" that is so money-grubbing and resource-sucking and greedy and loving of being on the dole? They are your bosses.<\/i><\/p>\n

And for a guy who's been on the government payroll since 1976, it strikes me that you're not in any great position to talk.<\/p>\n

But, yeah, stuff that comes out: that is how the GOP conservative leadership sees any sort of health insurance regulation and assistance, any effort to help folk actually afford health care, or, heck, anything that resembles any sort of social safety net: it's all a vast plot by a public that just want to suck off the … um … public's teat.<\/p>\n

Thanks, Orrin, for clearing that up for us.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
