A research team from the University of York has come up with thirty extinct English words that they think would work well in today’s world — and they are taking a poll to see which one to re-introduce to the Oxford English Dictionary.<\/p>\n

I will skew the results (one way or the other) by saying that I voted for the too-on-the-nose betrump<\/i><\/b>: to deceive, cheat; to elude, slip from.<\/i><\/p>\n

(I will also note that I, personally, still use “slug-a-bed.”)<\/p>\n
