Well, not quite singing, but I think it is awesome that Nissan, in response to federal safety regulations to have its electric vehicles and hybrids actually make noise<\/i> when moving (to signal pedestrians that a car is coming), isn’t producing a virtual motor sound, but an actual dynamic set of musical tonalities<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I have no idea what a busy city street like this would sound, but if this is the wave of the future, it’s a remarkably fun one.<\/p>\n

(Unless, of course, this becomes a commercialized means of audio advertising, and we start having cars giving commercials as they drive down the street, or blaring out paid-for music of the driver’s choice. That would be highly annoying.)<\/p>\n
