Orrin Hatch of Utah — who was one of the first GOP Senators to condemn Roy Moore if the allegations made against him about underage or skeevy-age sexual activities when he was a 30 year old DA in Alabama — has essentially flip-flopped, and now says:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Well, Donald Trump had to endorse Moore because “that’s the only Republican we can get down there.”<\/li>\n
  2. Even if true, this all happened “decades ago,” so, I guess, it’s all swamp water under the bridge.<\/li>\n
  3. If the voters of Alabama are okay with whatever Moore is alleged to have done, then, by golly, he not only thinks Moore should be seated, but sees no need for an ethics examination.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Like Pilate, he’s happy to wash his hands of making a decision for himself.<\/p>\n

    Ladies and Gentlemen, the Party of Family Values has left the building.<\/p>\n
