After weeks of Trump’s Steve Mnuchin promising that the entire Treasury Dept. was working on a detailed analysis to prove how incredibly cool the GOP Tax Reformish Thingie is (whatever form it eventually takes), the analysis has come out. All one page of it. Plus a few footnotes. Basically saying “Here are some numbers, trust us, there are lots of other numbers, but these are the important numbers, isn’t this plan cool?”<\/i><\/p>\n

Needless to say, it’s come under some criticism. Not least of which is that it assumes the plan will pay for itself … if a bunch of other tax cuts and bills get passed. Which would be a pretty darned easy bar for pretty much any bill to pass, one would think.<\/p>\n
