At a time when we have no Secretary of State (and the State Dept. has been largely gutted and thrown to the curb anyway), this is the (hand-picked) person who’s advising Trump on diplomacy and the dangers of the world.<\/p>\n

From 2013 until last month, Bolton was chairman of the Gatestone Institute, a New York-based advocacy group that warns of a looming \u201cjihadist takeover\u201d of Europe leading to a \u201cGreat White Death.\u201d<\/p>\n

The group has published numerous stories and headlines on its website with similar themes. \u201cGermany Confiscating Homes to Use for Migrants,\u201d warned one from May 2017, about a single apartment rental property in Hamburg that had gone into temporary trusteeship. Another from February 2015 claimed the immigrants, for instance Somalis, in Sweden were turning that country into the \u201cRape Capital of the West.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course, it’s perhaps no surprise if all that would be considered a bonus to the President, whose personal national security policy often seems in the same orbit as Gatestone’s rhetoric. It’s certainly made Gatestone a popular retweeting and amplifying target of Russian trolls.<\/p>\n
