That would be a cost savings in general, but then I discovered that the office here was signed up for the &#8220;Eco Pass,&#8221; which is a business\/transit district program that basically gives a highly discounted transit pass to companies, who must then buy it for everyone in the office.<\/p>\n<p>With Eco Pass rates going up this year, there were various concerns that it might be dropped, but &#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I have received several emails regarding the&nbsp;R.T.D. ECO&nbsp;Pass&nbsp;2009 rate increase, and how this may effect the employee&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>PLEASE&nbsp;NOTE:<\/p>\n<p>The increase in the ECO pass system DID affect [the company], but the company decided to pay for 100% of the increase (in addition to paying 100% of the monthly parking rate increase) so as to protect the employees from having to burden any of these costs increases.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Very cool.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A cool thing about moving to the downtown office was that I got to take the light rail into the office.
