While we are smack-dab in the middle of a foreign crisis dealing with the torture and death and dismemberment of a journalist, someone who works for an American paper and is (was) a permanent American resident, a crisis where the President has been busy promulgating alibis and apologetics for the crown prince of a Middle Eastern autocracy …<\/p>\n

… we get this. Trump (once again) making light of a GOP elected official who physically assaulted<\/i> a journalist he found tiresome, lied<\/i> about it, was convicted<\/i> for it, and was still<\/i> elected by his Republican supporters in Montana. And drawing laughter and applause from the MAGA-hat wearing mob assembled to cheer him on.<\/p>\n

Remember this kind of thing the next time some GOP talking head pontificates about "left-wing thuggery" and "liberal incivility" and "inciting violence" and "mob rule."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
