Does he really believe <em>any<\/em> of this, or is just the Slick Real Estate Salesman speaking?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Presidential Harassment by \u201ccrazed\u201d Democrats at the highest level in the history of our Country. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1102360081247682561?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>I mean, Donald&#8217;s one of the most powerful people in the world, right? He&#8217;s President of the United States. He is a self-proclaimed billionaire. He is (according to his own words) the most successful President\u00a0<em>ever.\u00a0<\/em>You would think a man like that would be on top of the world, immune to the slings and arrows of outrageous Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, he&#8217;s being (sniff) harassed. He&#8217;s the target of <em>Presidential Harassment,\u00a0<\/em>which is clearly brand-new with him because nobody&#8217;s ever used the phrase before.<\/p>\n<p>But clearly that&#8217;s because every other President, from FDR to Truman to JFK to LBJ to Nixon to Ford to Carter to Reagan to Bush to Clinton to Bush to Obama &#8230; the press treated them\u00a0<em>so<\/em> <em>fairly<\/em>, and Congress were their <em>bestest buds<\/em>.They were beloved and treated with palm frond fans in the summer, warmest holiday greetings in the winter, and huzzahs at all times, even though they weren&#8217;t nearly as successful as Donald has been. I mean, nobody ever called them crooks. Nobody ever wrote angry op-eds about them or published news accounts that they didn&#8217;t like. Nobody ever called for their resignations or for their impeachment. Nobody protested their presence when they showed up, or in front of the White House. Nobody ever questioned their legitimacy as president. Nobody ever investigated them. Nobody ever said mean things about them. They didn&#8217;t have to put up with years, two whole\u00a0<em>years <\/em>I tell you,\u00a0of criticism and calumny. They never had to show the incredible calm and patience and restraint that Donald has had to show.<\/p>\n<p>They never suffered from the painful condition we now know as (sniff) Presidential Harassment.<\/p>\n<p>Even looking at the historical record before FDR, clearly no president in the history of this country has <em>ever<\/em> suffered so many unjust, unfair, and mean attacks as Donald. Adams and Jefferson, Jackson, Lincoln &#8230; back in those days, they knew how to treat a president with kindness and respect, and never <em>ever<\/em> caused those clearly-less-successful-than-Donald presidents any problems.<\/p>\n<p>Poor Donald.
