They declined.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/god-wants-defendant-acquitted.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-138218\" title=\"god wants defendant acquitted\" src=\"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/god-wants-defendant-acquitted-650x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/god-wants-defendant-acquitted-650x366.jpg 650w, https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/god-wants-defendant-acquitted-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/god-wants-defendant-acquitted-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/god-wants-defendant-acquitted.jpg 680w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After a flurry of complaints over the incident, he ended up with only a public reprimand from the\u00a0\u00a0Texas Judicial Commission.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[Robison] wrote that he had been suffering memory lapses and couldn&#8217;t explain why he&#8217;d broken protocol to try to inappropriately influence the case, but he said he&#8217;d been under extreme stress due to ongoing medical treatment and the recent death of a close friend.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He also provided letters from doctors.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The doctors determined Robison&#8217;s actions were driven by delirium, a &#8220;temporary, episodic medical condition,&#8221; according to the court papers. The doctors argued Robison&#8217;s &#8220;fitness for duty&#8221; was not impaired.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Um &#8230; that sounds like his fitness was, in fact, kind of impaired.
