So the subject came up in conversation with Doyce yesterday, which led to my poking around and finding a couple of very intersting WP plug-ins: Digest Post<\/a> and (built more recently from it) Indigestion<\/a>. Both plug-ins promise to periodically (e.g., daily) go out to an RSS feed and build a post of of the items there.<\/p>\n

Eureka!<\/em> I cried (which caused some consternation around me). I can use that to post my “Unblogged Bits” as an actual post once a day<\/em> — thus making them, I suppose, Blogged Bits at that point, but since they would just be links, that’s still not terribly bloggy.<\/p>\n

I installed the first. Tried it. Configured it. Nothing posted.<\/p>\n

I installed the second. Tried it. Configured it. Debugged it. Nothing posted.<\/p>\n

*sigh<\/a>*<\/p>\n

And, alas, no active support appears to be forthcoming for either. And WP doesn’t really have an error log system, and no system errors are being thrown, and it all looks like it should be right as rain. Except for, y’know, the part where nothing actually posts.<\/p>\n

I did get, briefly, when first installing one of them (Indigestion, I believe) last night, a post generated. It was with the default values in there, so it was for blog stuff that wasn’t mine, but it did generate a post.<\/p>\n

Which I deleted.<\/p>\n
