Neil Gaiman was on Colbert last night discussing his new Newberry Award-winning tale, The Graveyard Book<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Two observations:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Neil has quite the Alan Rickman thing<\/a> going on here.<\/li>\n
  2. Stephen Colbert reciting the Tom Bombadil song is worth the price of admission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    On Twitter, Neil noted<\/a>:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. It was all (including Bombadil) unrehearsed.<\/li>\n
    2. About 40 seconds or so got edited out.<\/li>\n
    3. Which included discussions of favorite LotR characters (Gaiman -> Gandalf; Colbert -> Faramir).<\/li>\n
    4. And he was wearing the suit instead of the leather jacket because he was at his dad’s funeral two days before and didn’t have the traditional jacket with him.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
