THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 9 PM MDT <\/strong>THIS EVENING.<\/p>\n

WIDESPREAD SNOW OVER THE MOUNTAINS WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE URBAN CORRIDOR LATE THIS MORNING AND THIS AFTERNOON AS A STORM SYSTEM DROPS SOUTHEAST ACROSS COLORADO. PRECIPITATION MAY INITIALLY START OFF AS RAIN BUT QUICKLY CHANGE TO SNOW AS THE PRECIPITATION INTENSIFIES. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY FORM WITH THIS SYSTEM PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE 2 TO 6 INCHES<\/strong>. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE FOOTHILLS…ALONG THE FOOTHILLS AND UNDER ANY CONVECTIVE SNOW. NORTH WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL PRODUCE AREAS BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. ROADS WILL LIKELY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY LATE THIS AFTERNOON<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
