Basic symptom: only IE can access the Internet.\u00a0 Firefox, the external GTalk client, YIM, anything else that accesses the Internet errors out.\u00a0 But IE works perfectly.\u00a0 Well, as perfectly as IE (IE6, esp.) works.<\/p>\n
Restarted in Safe Mode — hey, it all works!\u00a0 Yay!<\/p>\n
Restarted in Normal Mode.\u00a0 Same problem.\u00a0 Boo!<\/p>\n

Firewall is controlled by group policy (office laptop), currently in non-domain settings.\u00a0 I don’t know when this started or when that last changed.\u00a0 Is there a way to see what that’s doing (if not change it)?\u00a0 Would all that still apply when in Safe Mode?<\/p>\n
