Because I keep running into people (or people keep running into me) from my past. In a good<\/em> way.<\/p>\n

So, for example, a week or two back, I got a note \/ message \/ wall scrawl, whatever FB calls it, basically saying, “Are you that<\/em> Dave Hill?” And it was from one of the few people from high school that I have much of any interest in knowing what happened to them — a gal named Linda Smith (now Linda Smith Schafer), who’d been a fellow theater nerd (as I recall, she played Jo in Little Women<\/em>, among other things).<\/p>\n

And this morning, doing my weekly-or-so FB skim, I discover she’s posted some pix from those high school days. Like this one<\/a> of the high school drama gang I hung with (that’s me bottom center-right, with Tracy on my right and Linda on my left with her arm around my shoulder; and I think that’s Cheryl front-row left).<\/p>\n

There are plenty of people who don’t blog. Facebook is a good place for them to have an online presence with minimal effort, and that’s a darned sight better than nothing. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
