{"id":15176,"date":"2009-07-11T18:52:09","date_gmt":"2009-07-12T00:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/?p=15176"},"modified":"2009-07-11T18:52:16","modified_gmt":"2009-07-12T00:52:16","slug":"hard-on-restaurants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2009\/07\/11\/hard-on-restaurants.html","title":{"rendered":"Hard on restaurants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m afraid we tend to be hard on restaurants, finding places we like just in time for them to go under.<\/p>\n<p>The latest, alas, we discovered Friday night: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slr-denver.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">San Lorenzo Ristorante<\/a>, over on Orchard and University, has closed its doors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Margie and Katherine took me there for the first time for my birthday (it won Westword&#8217;s Best Italian something-or-another in 2008), and we visited there a couple of times since. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slr-denver.com\/id1.html\" target=\"_blank\">menu<\/a> was interesting, the food was faboo, the service was friendly if sometimes overextended, and the prices reasonable for the quality.<\/p>\n<p>It had been there a couple of years, but evidently couldn&#8217;t compete in the current downturn.
