{"id":15212,"date":"2009-07-14T18:34:23","date_gmt":"2009-07-15T00:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/?p=15212"},"modified":"2009-07-14T18:34:33","modified_gmt":"2009-07-15T00:34:33","slug":"yet-another-last-look-at-battlestar-galactica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2009\/07\/14\/yet-another-last-look-at-battlestar-galactica.html","title":{"rendered":"Yet another last look at <i>Battlestar Galactica<\/i>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Battlestar Galactica\" height=\"75\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/galactica.jpg\" width=\"143\"><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been long enough since <a href=\"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2009\/03\/30\/a-finale-of-bsg-a-jug-of-wine-and-thou.html\" target=\"_blank\">BSG&#8217;s disappointing ending<\/a> that I&#8217;d almost put it behind me.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks, BD, for <a href=\"http:\/\/boulderdude.com\/2009\/07\/bsg-revisited\/\" target=\"_blank\">pointing me<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/ideas.4brad.com\/battlestar\/battlestars-daybreak-worst-ending-history-screen-science-fiction\" target=\"_blank\">this <em>excellent <\/em>analysis of where exactly BSG went wrong<\/a> &#8212; how it came so close to greatness, but for an ending that the author Brad Templeton calls, &#8220;<strong>the most <em>disappointing<\/em> ending ever<\/strong>.&#8221; And how, ultimately, that&#8217;s a huge crying shame.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a good analysis, and I agree with nearly everything he has to say.
