Yeesh. Lots of stuff, some of which will be kind of ugly to move.<\/p>\n<div class=\"img-shadow-right\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/firefox.png\" style=\"width: 110px; height: 105px; \" title=\"Firefox\" \/><\/div>\n<p>One of the first things will be installing Firefox. I&#8217;m currently on 3.5, and plan to use it instead of the IE7 (auto-updated to IE8) on the new machine.<\/p>\n<p>Extensions I&#8217;m currently using (via Extension List Dumper, plus [my comments]):<\/p>\n<p>Application: Firefox 3.5.1 (20090715094852)<br \/> Operating System: WINNT (x86-msvc)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/adblockplus.org\/\">Adblock Plus 1.1<\/a><br \/> Ads were yesterday! [one of the five best reasons to use Firefox]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/gorgias.de\/mfe\/\">Add Bookmark Here 3.0<\/a><br \/> Add bookmark here in bookmarks menu [eases FF&#8217;s clunky bookmark management a bit]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roboform.com\">AI Roboform Toolbar for Firefox 6.9.95<\/a><br \/> Allows the use of Roboform in Firefox. [one of the key reasons I don&#8217;t use Chrome]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/clippings.mozdev.org\/\">Clippings 3.1<\/a><br \/> Save frequently-entered text for pasting later. [not using it, but keep thinking I will]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colorzilla.com\/\">ColorZilla 2.0.2.1<\/a><br \/> Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies [used infrequently, but invaluable when I need to determine the color code for something on the screen.]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/downthemall.net\/\">DownThemAll! 1.1.4<\/a><br \/> The mass downloader for Firefox. [it has non-pr0n uses, too]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ryanscook.com\">Extended Copy Menu 1.6<\/a><br \/> Provides the option to copy selection as plain text or html. [a very nice convenience]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/sogame.awardspace.com\/\">Extension List Dumper 1.14.2<\/a><br \/> Dumps a list of the installed extensions. [for generating these lists]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/fireftp.mozdev.org\">FireFTP 1.0.5<\/a><br \/> FTP Client for Mozilla Firefox. [my current FTP client of choice]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/flagfox.net\/\">Flagfox 3.3.14<\/a><br \/> Displays a flag depicting the location of the current server [plus WHOIS info, etc.]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/flashblock.mozdev.org\/\">Flashblock 1.5.11.2<\/a><br \/> Replaces Flash objects with a button you can click to view them. [another of the five best reasons to use Firefox]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/forecastfox.mozdev.org\/\">Forecastfox 0.9.10.1<\/a><br \/> Get international weather forecasts and display it in any toolbar or statusbar with this highly customizable extension. [convenient, though only Accuweather accurate]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.graysonmixon.com\/extension\/\">IE View Lite 1.3.4<\/a><br \/> Cut down version of IE View by Paul Roub. [quick open a window in IE if needed, or default a site to opening in IE]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/kostecki.net\/fb\/\">ImgTag 0.3.4<\/a><br \/> Generates&nbsp;IMG tags [invaluable for blogging, to reuse an image in my blog]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soylentred.net\/projects\/make-link\">Make Link 8.12<\/a><br \/> Make HTML or ForumCode links via the context menu [again, a great convenence in blogging, to create an HTML link to a site with the site&#8217;s title as text]<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.cmu.edu\/~perspectives\/\">Perspectives 3.0.3<\/a><br \/> Securely bypasses Firefox HTTPS security errors by verifying certificates using a collection of Network Notaries. See http:\/\/www.cs.cmu.edu\/~perspectives\/<\/li>\n<li> <a href=\"http:\/\/tmp.garyr.net\">Tab Mix Plus 0.3.7.4pre.090516<\/a><br \/> Tab browsing with an added boost.
