A gent who has traditionally gone Christmas shopping whilst dressed in a Santa suit has been booted out of a St. Louis area mall<\/a>. Security management at the mall says that, post-9-11, nobody is allowed in the mall in costume.<\/p>\n

It’s not just about terrorism, said Sean Phillips, Westfield’s associate regional customer service and marketing manager. “An unidentified person dressed as Santa Claus approaching children is a security concern, especially someone that can’t be identified other than ‘he looked like Santa Claus.'”<\/p>\n

This despite the fact that nobody has complained in the five years the gent has been doing this, nor does he approach children or pose for pictures with them.<\/p>\n

I’m sure the Attorney General is taking notes, though.<\/p>\n
