When last we left Margie, she was getting around on crutches and a scooter, wearing a Robocop brace on her left foot, and under strict instructions to PUT NO WEIGHT ON HER RIGHT FOOT.<\/p>\n

Current ankle shot. Still a visible crack by where there's no screw<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As of today’s orthopedics appointment, she can WALK ON BOTH FEET!<\/p>\n

Carefully.<\/p>\n

And (as she compares it to walking around on a severe sprain) uncomfortably.<\/p>\n

But walking.<\/p>\n

She’s presently using one crutch as sort of a balance (though I’ve offered my Wedding Cane).\u00a0 She has to wear the Robocop brace when walking around for the next 2.5 wks, then after than can go to a lighter brace that she can actually wear a shoe over.<\/p>\n

But she’s walking.<\/p>\n

No current plans on returning to work.\u00a0 Even though she can do her work from the office, she’s still getting pretty tired , so we’re planning that week by week.<\/p>\n

Me?\u00a0 I’m just glad that I can (fairly soon) close up the sofa bed …<\/p>\n
