(sniff) Wow, I do make a funny now and again.<\/p>\n<p>No, honestly, I&#8217;ll be putting on Firefox.\u00a0 Even though the company is (slowly, maybe, sometime soon) shifting from IE6 to IE8, at most I&#8217;ll be doing tha conversion with IE and continuing to use it on apps that only work in IE\u00a0 (our shiny new performance assessment tool, alas, being one of them).<\/p>\n<p>I continue to play with Chrome &#8212; I use my office Gmail in it &#8212; but it&#8217;s only just started officially supporting extensions.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll give it a nod below.<\/p>\n<p>So, Job 1 will be installing Firefox.\u00a0 And what extensions will I be using? [Handy for clips to use in blogging, e.g., review templates, frequently used pictures &#8230;]<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colorzilla.com\/\">ColorZilla 2.0.2.1<\/a>\n<p>Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies<\/span> [I might or might not.\u00a0 I use it once in a blue moon.\u00a0 But it&#8217;s damned handy when I need it.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/downthemall.net\/\">DownThemAll! 1.1.8<\/a>\n<p>The mass downloader for Firefox. [A handy widget that allows easier download of lots of files.]<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/echofon.com\/\">Echofon 1.9.4.1<\/a>\n<p>This extension lets you know twitter statuses. <\/span> [I&#8217;m using Brizzly now, so I&#8217;ll be not bringing this over.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ryanscook.com\">Extended Copy Menu 1.6<\/a>\n<p>Provides the option to copy selection as plain text or html. [Extraordinarily handy, for blogging and email.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sogame.awardspace.com\/\">Extension List Dumper 1.14.4<\/a>\n<p>Dumps a list of the installed extensions. [Producing this listing.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fireftp.mozdev.org\">FireFTP 1.0.7<\/a>\n<p>FTP Client for Mozilla Firefox. [My preferred FTP client.]<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/flagfox.net\/\">Flagfox 3.3.20<\/a>\n<p>Displays a flag depicting the location of the current server<\/span> [Which is sometimes interesting, but not interesting enough.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/flashblock.mozdev.org\/\">Flashblock 1.5.11.2<\/a>\n<p>Replaces Flash objects with a button you can click to view them. [Huzzah! Annoying for Flash you want to see, but invaluable for Flash ads you don&#8217;t.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/forecastfox.mozdev.org\/\">Forecastfox 0.9.10.1<\/a>\n<p>Get international weather forecasts and display it in any toolbar or statusbar with this highly customizable extension. [How else to tell at a glance if I should wear my jacket at lunch?]<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.graysonmixon.com\/extension\/\">IE View Lite 1.3.5<\/a>\n<p>Cut down version of IE View by Paul Roub.<\/span> [Lets you route an IE-only site you stumble across over to IE. I&#8217;m not really using this these days.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/kostecki.net\/fb\/\">ImgTag 0.3.4<\/a>\n<p>Generates <img alt=\"\" \/> tags [Great for generating an IMG tag off of an image. I use this in blogging a fair amont.]<\/li>\n<li>Java Console 6.0.01<\/li>\n<li>Java Console 6.0.11<\/li>\n<li>Java Console 6.0.13<\/li>\n<li>Java Console 6.0.14<\/li>\n<li>Java Quick Starter 1.0<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/lastpass.com\/\">LastPass 1.64.4<\/a>\n<p>Last Password you will ever need [My multi-platform password manager.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.soylentred.net\/projects\/make-link\">Make Link 9.11<\/a>\n<p>Make HTML, ForumCode, or other links from the context menu [Handy for blogging.]<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/code.google.com\/speed\/page-speed\/\">Page Speed 1.5.0.3<\/a>\n<p>Speed up your web pages with this performance diagnostics tool. Requires Firebug.<\/span> [No, haven&#8217;t really used it.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.cmu.edu\/~perspectives\/\">Perspectives 3.0.3<\/a>\n<p>Securely bypasses Firefox HTTPS security<br \/>\nerrors by verifying certificates using a collection of<br \/>\nNetwork Notaries.  See http:\/\/www.cs.cmu.edu\/~perspectives\/[I rarely get warnings from it, and those are usually spurious.\u00a0 Hmmm. [Occasionally invaluable.]<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skype.com\">Skype extension for Firefox 2.2.0.102<\/a>\n<p>(Disabled)<\/p>\n<p>Skype extension for Firefox<\/span> [Autoinstalled with Skype, alas.]<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tmp.garyr.net\">Tab Mix Plus 0.3.7.4pre.090516<\/a>\n<p>Tab browsing with an added boost. [Enhances the FF tab browsing options.
