Wasn&#8217;t I cutely prescient?  Oh, and even when I was drunk years ago, I knew it was schlocky. Um &#8230; that sounds more like a reason to pass the legislation, not to eliminate jobs but because those jobs (plus the additional margin scooped out by the banks) are &#8220;friction&#8221; in the works, with both taxpayers and students as the folks taking the heat.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/PzhPO4Ig5tE\/\">449 \u2013 \u201cGreat Party Place, Wisconsin\u201d, or: America\u2019s Beer Belly<\/a> &#8211; I suspect my SoDak acquaintances can confirm this for their old home towns.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/OSumcH3AJF0\/\">448 \u2013 Germany\u2019s Worst School Names<\/a> &#8211; An interesting and painful conundrum for the Germans.  It&#8217;s hard to declare de-Nazification as political correctness, but many of the same ethical, linguistic, and symbolic issues apply to both.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/r06iHbaTLjI\/ALeqM5goHmEoyYhLPQ7xhPuFBAM-gBjbUAD9EC431O1\">The Associated Press: NYC judge: Govt must stop blocking money to ACORN<\/a> &#8211; Of course, this will make no difference to the Right&#8217;s noise machine.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/r5E0IiWTblA\/\">Bwuhahahahahah!<\/a> &#8211; I pride myself that, as much as I LOVE AND ADORE AND LUST AFTER BACON this sort of thing (along with Bacon Ice Cream and Bacon Brownies and the like) holds no appeal for me.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/vy_8oszqkpI\/\">Ummm\u2026.no\u2026<\/a> &#8211; An incessently (if fascinatingly) depressing and desperation-filled TV series that ended in a nihilistic deus ex machina.  Strip away the gotchas and betrayals &#8212; neither of which work game-wise &#8212; and what do you have?  Yeah, not quite sure why this makes for MMO fodder.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/79BaU1WF2Kg\/visit-nyc-eat-breast-milk-cheese.html\">Visit NYC, Eat Breast-Milk Cheese<\/a> &#8211; I&#8217;m not a huge cheese fan to begin with, but I find myself both vaguely fascinated and vaguely repulsed by this, and I suspect it&#8217;s all irrational on my part.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/0KuQRz5SqEo\/ev-gray-and-the-fuel.html\">EV Gray and the &#8220;fuelless engine&#8221; Fascination car<\/a> &#8211; I&#8217;d settle for a conventional engine just to drive this beauty.  Of course, it&#8217;s also probably Horribly Unsafe.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/B8H7cPdXBPk\/bad-employee-12-knowingly-violate-company-it-policies.ars\">Bad employee! 12% knowingly violate company IT policies<\/a> &#8211; As someone who is in IT, who is a user of IT resource, subject to IT policies, and at one point was over our IT Security group &#8230; this makes perfect sense.  And, yes, I&#8217;ve been known to break IT policy, though I do so knowingly and with a knowledge of the risks that I&#8217;m taking (and a willingness to take the consequences if it goes badly).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/Boll1swyupM\/\">J.D.
