  5. Security Cameras in the New York City Subways<\/a> – They cost money, they don’t work and … well, they don’t work, either. Brilliant.<\/li>\n

Amazing colour footage of an English road trip, August 1939\u2026<\/a> – It’s uncanny how real<\/b> the color makes this film feel — like we’re looking out our window and seeing a collectable car club drive past, rather than this being the major highway north out of London in 8\/39, 70 years ago.<\/li>\n
  7. March Slideshow<\/a> – Kate’s been doing a “photo a day” thang on her blog, and not only do I admire her diligence in doing so, she’s taking some great shots.<\/li>\n

  10. Decorated liberal veterans<\/a> – I suspect that a majority of members of the armed services are Republican. But it’s not as much a majority as one might think, and certainly not enough of one to engage in silly, insulting stereotypes, especially with as many counter-examples as there are.<\/li>\n

  12. Those imaginary IRS agents<\/a> – (1) Hey, look at the lying liars lying some more. Idjits. On the other hand, (2) um, so if there’s no enforceable penalty … why would anyone feel compelled to comply if they didn’t want to?<\/li>\n

  14. Tea Partiers as “Tim McVeigh Wannabes”?<\/a> – Um … yeah, I suspect some of them are, actually — but Hannity seems to think that’s a good<\/b> thing.<\/li>\n

Concerned Women for America – Court Adds Insult to Injury<\/a> – If someone suggested that a Christian church group protest march was being sued, I suspect the CWA would be right on the spot, defending their First Amendment rights to religious and political expression. Oh, but wait, the CWA has declared that Phelps & Co. aren't "real" Christians, so they feel free to take an opposite tack. It's so convenient when rights are tied to being (as you see it) "right." (Don't get me wrong — I am, amazingly, in alignment with the CWA as to the Phelpsies being despicable people and hardly in keeping with Christianity as I practice it.
