{"id":1714,"date":"2002-05-12T21:32:02","date_gmt":"2002-05-13T02:32:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/?p=1714"},"modified":"2002-05-12T21:32:02","modified_gmt":"2002-05-13T02:32:02","slug":"oh_those_terror","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2002\/05\/12\/oh_those_terror.html","title":{"rendered":"Oh, <i>those<\/i> terrorists?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European countries that agreed to take in some of the thirteen Palestinian militants who were the center of the Church of the Nativity siege are now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailytelegraph.co.uk\/news\/main.jhtml;$sessionid$YS1SFAYAABV2ZQFIQMFCFFWAVCBQYIV0?xml=\/news\/2002\/05\/12\/wpal12.xml&#038;sSheet=\/news\/2002\/05\/12\/ixnewstop.html\">getting cold feet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Not, though, because they are terrorists, exactly.  It&#8217;s just that the actual status of these folks were left in limbo during the negotiations.  Once they go to the various EU nations, are they free to wander about?  If so, Israel says it will demand their extradition back to Tel Aviv, which would put the EU nations in the position of having to take a clear, explicit stand in the conflict.
