Glenn Beck Returns The Favor<\/a> – Actually, the Colonial Virginia laws that Jerry is referencing were state laws; while the Anglican church was the established church in Virginia (and some other colonies), elsewhere (as in Massachusetts) it was the Congregational church. Many states required attendance at least some church on Sundays, had the state supporting the establishment church’s clergy, etc. That’s why we ended up with a 1st Amendment — not against King George III, but against ourselves.<\/li>\n

Rand Paul Not An Anomaly: More Fringe Tea Party Candidates Set To Knock Off Favored GOP Candidates<\/a> – The GOP leadership figured if they encouraged the TPers, they’d turn around and vote the GOP ticket. I don’t know that I’d be happy about even 1000-1 odds of someone kidnapping my daughter, but it’s not something I stay awake nights worrying about.<\/li>\n

Google Previews Chrome Web Store \u2014 An App Store For The Web (If You\u2019re Using Chrome)<\/a> – So if I follow this correctly, the Chrome Web Store basically serves as an easier way to access\/pay for web apps, but that’s essentially it (and will be the avenue for doing so with Chrome OS in the future). Okay, well, I guess that’s not evil.<\/li>\n
