1. Typewriter repairmen in photos – Typewriters are really an amazing bit of machinery. On that basis, I’m sorry to see them go. As a past user … I’m just as glad to be using word processing software.

 2. A Personal Letter From Steve Martin – Heh.

 3. Unemployment Down In 90% Of Nation’s 372 Largest Metro Areas – That’s good news.

 4. Alaska GOP Congressman Don Young: Gulf Spill “Not An Environmental Disaster” – Booking any vacations to the Florida panhandle, Don? What an idiotic statement.

 5. O’Reilly compares gay people to al Qaeda. – Classy move, Bill.

 6. High Stakes Innovation : The Frontal Cortex – Not surprising, under pressure we tend to be less creative. Fight or flight are simple responses to stress, and that’s how we’re wired.

 7. Missionaries of Hate – Unfortunately, too many less-fundamental / -vicious Christians are too collegial, too polite, or two lily-livered to speak out against such things. What, really, truly, would Jesus do?

 8. First paper ‘dipstick’ test for determining blood type – Excellent.

 9. Coffee Lovers – Yeah, that’s about right.

 10. Creative and Unusual Soap Designs – As with all designed soap, lovely until it’s, like, actually used.

 11. Guessing cops allowed to give speeding tickets in Ohio — Autoblog – Wow, that’s just … yeah, pretty wrong. Without questioning whether cops have good or bad speed estimating skills, being fined based on no more than an opinion seems horribly liable to abuse.
