They possess such a tremendous horror that it&#8217;s difficult to introduce them without introducing terrible hyperbole, and emotional impact beyond what most discussions can stand.  And yet, there are lessons to be learned, and analogies to be drawn, and things we must not forget so that we do not repeat them.  And it&#8217;s a reminder I need to go back and read Justice Jackson&#8217;s opening statement at Nuremberg again.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/Rrngzpt3s38\/by-eric-martin--i-apologize-to-jim-henley-in-advance-for-excerpting-so-much-of-this-post-but-it-is-simply-too-good-to-apply.html\">The Power and the Glory<\/a> &#8211; An excellent analysis of &#8220;high road&#8221; vs &#8220;low road&#8221; approaches to foreign (and domestic) policy, and how the former are quickly deemed failures, the latter given near-infinite time and patience. When love is perceived as a violation of the law, something has gone horribly amiss. When the rulebook is telling you that more affordable, decent housing for seniors is wrong, then something is wrong with the way you&#8217;re reading the rulebook.
