The highly-publicized alleged meeting between 9-11 hijacker Mohamed Atta and Iraqi intelligence in Prague probably never actually took place<\/a>. Czech and US intelligence agencies have been looking at the connection, and find there’s little except one uncorroborated connection that was made — and plenty of indication that there was no such meeting.<\/p>\n

Given that this story has been touted as a major reason why we should bomb the crap out of Saddam Hussein, it’s a shame its debunking hasn’t gotten more publicity. Not that there aren’t plenty of other reasons to do so, but we only weaken that cause by invoking excuses we know not <\/i>to be true.<\/p>\n
