If nothing else, the Law of Unintended Consequences should always be paid attention to. That said, even though I think it&#8217;s a quixotic effort, I support this proposed amendment.  Corporations and Labor Unions are not &#8220;people&#8221; who need to have their freedom of speech protected; indeed, I suspect the Founders (whom so many on the Right purport to adore) would be appalled by the very idea.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/_3ArD5NpU0c\/the-consequences-citizens-united\">The Consequences of Citizens United<\/a> &#8211; &#8220;Citizens United didn\u2019t just, as some supporters have claimed, allow corporate voices to be heard; it granted corporations unprecedented influence in democratic elections while permitting them to hide their involvement.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/ky7997Q8HJI\/gop-blocks-20-judicial-nominees-rebuffs-goodwin-liu-again\">GOP Blocks 20 Judicial Nominees, Rebuffs Goodwin Liu Again<\/a> &#8211; Jeff Sessions is an ass-hat.  No, wait &#8212; I don&#8217;t like to sling around names like that.  Jeff Sessions comment was a fine example of ass-hattery. John Boehner can&#8217;t possibly be wrong, can he?!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/D1ae_aYLb4o\/\">Obama Has Deported More Immigrants Than Bush<\/a> &#8211; Prepare to hear that this means Obama is anti-business.
