And while there is more to educational quality than graduation rates (though that’s one indicator), I’d argue that any relative decline in educational standards vs. the world comes not from federal involvement (which has had its up and downs) but by the systematic starving of the public school system by religious and fiscal ideologues.<\/li>\n
