And, yeah, people (self included) bitch and moan about the dearth of “good news” on the news.<\/p>\n

Still … the “Man Landing on the Moon” quantity of the TV coverage and viewership seems … overkill.\u00a0 It’s like the girl who got trapped down a well back in the 80s, and the wall-to-wall coverage of the rescue effort.\u00a0 There are a lot of other Really Good stories, and Really Important ones, too.<\/p>\n

So I want to offer my sincerest congratulations to the miners, and my pleasure at their rescue, and … can we move on to the next subject?<\/p>\n
