Republicans take House, Dems keep Senate – Boing Boing<\/a> – Note, of course, that with “only” 53 (let’s say) Dems in the Senate, and assuming no formal defections to the GOP, not only is nigh-impossible to overcome anything approaching a filibuster, but the majority arguably is now even more the GOP + Blue Dog Dems. Which means, at best, Reid will be trying to just keep the Senate from passing whatever claptrap emanates from the House (which, some might argue, he was already doing the past two years).<\/li>\n
