Obama says, fine, let&#8217;s extend the tax reductions for the middle class, but let the reductions for the rich expire.  The GOP says no.  Obama says, fine, let&#8217;s extend the middle class tax cuts, and extend the reductions for the rich for two years.  The GOP says no.  Next up, Obama simply gives in to the GOP position.  And this, we hear, is bipartisanship (from the Obama White House), or Leftist tyranny (from the GOP).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/yQJBS2fvR5A\/\">Gingrich Imagines The World Is Elated With GOP Midterm Election Victories<\/a> &#8211; To be followed, no doubt, by Gingrich noting that it&#8217;s irrelevant what the rest off the World thinks because the US is Exceptional and the rest of all those furriner countries can go pound sand.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/rDhe__au9Ps\/\">Meet The Corporate Chairmen: Incoming Committee Chairs Have Deep Ties To  Lobbyists And Big Business<\/a> &#8211; The best government money can buy.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/zJnv9izq8BQ\/\">Did George W. Bush Confess To A Crime?<\/a> &#8211; At this point, all I can hope for is the decision of history (and Divine Judgment).  I have no hope that the malfeasors of the Bush Administration will face  even the slightest consequences.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/z3wii5A0xYE\/\">McConnell\u2019s Partisan Logic vs. Obama\u2019s Bipartisan Pipe Dream<\/a> &#8211; &#8220;The point is that Obama\u2019s hope of reaching some glorious bipartisan compromise with Republicans is a fool\u2019s pipe dream. Obama can\u2019t reach out to the Republicans and simply find some way to \u201creason\u201d with them because of basic game theory. From the GOP\u2019s perspective, they have already embraced the most logical and reasonable plan of action, which is to do anything they can to bring down Obama\u2019s presidency.  You can\u2019t reach compromise with a group when they\u2019ve concluded it is in their best interest not to compromise&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/DWgFhb3k7_o\/another_depressing_election_st.php\">Another depressing election story<\/a> &#8211; Churches are large public spaces that are usually available during weekday hours.  Schools often have classes that would need to be worked around, or the auditorium is used for PE or lunch, etc.  I don&#8217;t have as much of a problem with a church (or any other similar space being used) as I do with the atrocious (and certainly illegal) behavior here.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/QS-iNZmHbrk\/the-clouds-of-michel.html\">The clouds of Michelangelo<\/a> &#8211; Gorgeous.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/xftnU2dl2as\/buy-your-jeans-now-before-cotton-prices-go-up.html\">Buy Your Jeans Now Before Cotton Prices Go Up<\/a> &#8211; Hmmm.
