And right now, Republicans are taking a sledgehammer to this component of the American foundation &#8212; and they do so without embarrassment, in part because they&#8217;re overwhelmed by a misguided ideology, and in part because they loathe our elected president.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/GdWIxZIhgwQ\/026686.php\">Murkowski wins improbable write-in campaign<\/a> &#8211; I don&#8217;t hold my breath that Murkowski will tilt away from the party that essentially ran against her &#8230; but it would be nice to see.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/5SffzoHlI-A\/026682.php\">Maybe Congress should listen to them<\/a> &#8211; The GOP is taking prominent positions that opinion polls show the public disagrees with.  And the Dems are ready to cave on every single one of them.
