We got to see a slew of previews\/trailers at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Remarkably enough, almost all of them are things I want to see:<\/p>\n

Cowboys & Aliens:<\/em> Just looks like plain old fun. \u00a0Old West stuff. \u00a0With aliens. \u00a0And Harrison Ford as the crotchety powerful bad guy. A hoot-and-a-half.<\/p>\n

Green Hornet: <\/em>This is still looking good (though substantially the same from earlier in the year). \u00a0I think they’re finding a good balance point between slightly self-mocking humor and some amusing action-adventure stuff.<\/p>\n

Tron: Legacy:<\/em> I need to find a copy of the original to watch with Kay before the sequel rolls out (since half the fun will be, I suspect, the links between the two). \u00a0The DVDs on Amazon, though, are all hellaciously expensive (even used).<\/p>\n

Voyage of the Dawn Treader: <\/em>This looks really nice, \u00a0even if the trailer looks a bit more action-oriented than I recall the book being.<\/p>\n

Kung Fu Panda 2: <\/em> I love the original. I expect I’ll love the sequel — except, the original was a marvelous self-contained story, a hero’s journey, now completed. \u00a0I’m not sure how they’ll make something that moves on from that.<\/p>\n

Green Lantern:<\/em> The trailer was the one I blogged about the other day<\/a>, and, on the big screen, looks pretty nice. Caveats from that post still apply.<\/p>\n

Red Riding Hood: <\/em> Um … well … it looks pretty. \u00a0It just feels … like a SyFy Original Movie. \u00a0I’d love to hear I’m wrong, but … I really felt no yen to go see it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
