Because the Senate is ridiculous, a 57-member tripartisan majority loses, and a 40-member minority wins.” Because, of course, every important measure requires the Senate GOP use the ultimate weapon (yet again), the filibuster threat. Yeesh.<\/li>\n

Senate Republicans block vote on 9\/11 health bill<\/a> – “We’re talking about a Senate Republican caucus that, without exception, will fight tooth and nail for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires, but which refuses to let the Senate vote on a bill covering health care costs for 9\/11 rescue workers.” Stay classy, GOP!<\/li>\n
