And the bottom 50% earn only about 13%.  But that&#8217;s what makes this country great, right? Right?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/QwrTJNRgw5g\/cat_vs_internet\">Cat vs Internet &#8211; The Oatmeal<\/a> &#8211; HA! (Boy, does this seem familiar.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/ruNtj5gh_5I\/youre-going-to-get-tasered.html\">&#8220;You&#8217;re going to get tasered&#8221;<\/a> &#8211; Tasers were developed as an alternative to either beating a guy with a baton or shooting him.  They have been mostly successful at that &#8212; but unfortunately too many cops seem to think of them as &#8220;phasers on stun&#8221; and treat them as either (a) a completely safe way to incapacitate someone (they are not), or (b) a way to inflict pain and compliance without leaving a mark.  I think they remain a useful tool in the police arsenal, just like firearms &#8212; but only if we have police that can be held accountable for their actions.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/U8eu_5qMxLM\/\">ThinkProgress \u00bb After Filibustering The Seating Of Franken, Cornyn Insists Alaskans \u2018Deserve\u2019 Senate Representation<\/a> &#8211; Full representation by folks aligned with me, but not by folks aligned with thee.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/IPcrovNVlOs\/\">ThinkProgress \u00bb Bachmann Repeatedly Insists That Tax Cut Deal Is Actually \u2018A Tax Increase\u2019<\/a> &#8211; Michelle Bachmann is, as usual, a dolt.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/FowAmpyf_Jo\/dont_tell_us_its_democracy.html\">Don&#8217;t Tell us it&#8217;s Democracy<\/a> &#8211; To be fair, our system is designed not to be strictly democratic, to help protect the rights and interests of the minority.  That&#8217;s not a bad thing.  It just happens in this case that the minority is being jerks.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/Three-starDavesSharedItemsInGoogleReader\/~3\/ulcMTgGdHw0\/comedy_central_still_funny.php\">Comedy Central: Still Funny?<\/a> &#8211; Interesting logo change.
