Actual persecution vs imagined persecution<\/a> – Just as the rich see the loss of a temporary tax cut as some sort of class vendetta against them, while ignoring the plight of the unemployed, so too many conservative Christians play the “persecution” card when they’re not allowed to co-opt the town square, while ignoring what real religious persecution looks like. (Rather, they don’t ignore it, but they don’t see how it makes their own claims look petty and childish.)<\/li>\n
