My wife. I think I’ll keep her.<\/p>\n

Now, we are not above eating (good) store-bought pasta sauce for a quick and easy dinner.<\/p>\n

But we were out tonight. And the leftovers weren’t defrosted.<\/p>\n

So Margie took some crushed tomatoes.<\/p>\n

And pan-seared some sausage from the fridge.<\/p>\n

Oh, and tossed them together with a bit of pesto. Oh, and, hey, there’s some feta cheese crumbles. And probably three other random items from fridge, pantry, or spice cabinet.<\/p>\n

I think there was some sliced zucchini in there.<\/p>\n

Simmer.<\/p>\n

Cooked up some pasta.<\/p>\n

Put it all into a big baking dish, throw it in the oven. Cook until bubbly.<\/p>\n

And it’s the kind of thing that you’d pay $20 or $25, a la carte<\/em>, at a good Italian restaurant. Easy.<\/p>\n

She rocks. And she pooh-pooh’s the whole thing.<\/p>\n
