Google uses links &#8212; and links to where links are coming from &#8212; as its primary criterion of how important a page is.  Blogging is all about linking.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, Google likes freshness.  It&#8217;s added how recently a page has been refreshed to its importance criteria, too.  Blogging is about freshness.<\/p>\n<p>That doesn&#8217;t mean that blogs show up often in Google.  Most blogs aren&#8217;t linked to a lot (relatively speaking).
