Why right-wing domestic terrorists are our big blind spot: Let’s start with the media<\/a> – The media’s sloppiness here in the report is because (a) they have to say SOMETHING or else they get (gasp) SCOOPED!; (b) in some cases they have an ideological axes to grind (coughFOXcough) in the speculation; (c) they have to say SOMETHING or else they might be accused of being buddy-buddy with the speculated-about terrorist faction; (d) if you speculate that the perps might be white, right-wing Christians, then you’ll be accused of being a HATER and BIGOTED and the target of who knows what sort of investigations, whereas if you speculate that it might have brown, Western-hating Muslims then you will get the cheers and acclamation of white, right-wing Christians; (e) see (a) again.<\/li>\n
