(It&#8217;s call &#8220;projection,&#8221; Bryan).<\/p>\n<p>But if we&#8217;re talking about physical violence &#8212; well, that&#8217;s another kettle of fish. \u00a0Let&#8217;s see what&#8217;s going on.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Now hate-filled homosexual bigots are getting physical &#8211; against their own kind.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Against their &#8220;own kind&#8221;! \u00a0There&#8217;s a charming turn of phrase, Bryan.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A homosexual actor in a reality TV show (\u201cA-List Dallas\u201d) &#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Which doesn&#8217;t quite sound like a &#8220;TV star&#8221; as your headline indicates, but moving right along &#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230; was punched in the left eye, knocked to the ground and bloodied up on Friday night by a fellow homosexual, a member of the Gaystapo who resents his friendship with conservative pundit Ann Coulter. When he was punched in the face, he fell into some glass when he hit the ground, which caused the bleeding.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Okay, I might question about whether a single punch thrown constitutes a &#8220;beating up,&#8221; but violence is certainly an inappropriate way to experess your &#8220;resentment&#8221; about someone.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, by the way, that whole &#8220;Gaystapo&#8221; thing? \u00a0Yeah, I know you&#8217;re trying to be cute and all, but you might reconsider whether the Nazi state-run security police that regularly exercised torture and execution to suppress opponents of the regime is quite the same thing as some drunken yahoo punching someone else out at a party.<\/p>\n<p>Not that punching someone out is a good thing, or an acceptable thing &#8212; but it&#8217;s also not a state security police kind of thing, either. \u00a0I know you have this idea of some World Wide Gay Conspiracy thing, Bryan, but, really, it&#8217;s not.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A picture shows the actor, Taylor Garrett, with a bloody ear and a bloody shirt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23728\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23728\" style=\"width: 198px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/GarrettBlood.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-23728\" title=\"Taylor Garrett\" src=\"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/GarrettBlood.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"289\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23728\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Taylor Garrett<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ear cuts bleed a lot. Though it&#8217;s unclear if they spatter on shirts like that. Plus, how much glass was on the ground next to his car that it cut his ear up that when he fell after a punch that doesn&#8217;t seem to have left much of a mark?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>His car was also keyed by the assailant, who scratched \u201cF&#8211;k Coulter\u201d in large letters on the door. So we can add vandalism to the list of charges in this homophobic hate crime.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Actually, you have the story a bit backward. \u00a0Based on the report, Garrett says confronted a guy who was keying his car with that message. \u00a0The guy then punched him out.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>And this is an actual homophobic hate crime &#8211; this time it was an active homosexual who was the target of this life-threatening rage and vitriol.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Someone who is gay being assaulted is not <em>per se<\/em> a homophobic hate crime. \u00a0(Technically, it wouldn&#8217;t be homophobic even if it was being done by a gay person &#8212; though it could be considered, if true, a politically-motivated assault.)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>And it happened at a birthday party! He has been the subject of \u201charassment and threats\u201d ever since.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Taylor is certainly presenting it as some sort of \u00a0connection with his hanging out with Ann Coulter.<\/p>\n<p>Ann, of course, is a perfectly loathesome excuse for a human being who <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikiquote.org\/wiki\/Ann_Coulter\">regularly says the most appalling things<\/a> about Muslims, liberals, and, of course, gays. \u00a0Which isn&#8217;t to say that having lunch with her is an excuse for violence. Nor, I suppose, vandalism.<\/p>\n<p>(One does wonder how some &#8220;large&#8221; stranger knew which car was Taylor&#8217;s and just happened to be there keying it when Taylor just happened to be coming out alone to get something he&#8217;d left in the car.)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Let\u2019s review the definition of a hate crime, shall we, class?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh, let&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cA hate crime is usually defined by state law as one that involves threats, harassment, or physical harm and is motivated by prejudice against someone&#8217;s race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability.\u201d &#8211; USLegal.com<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hmmm. Doesn&#8217;t seem like it&#8217;s a hate crime, then. Except for, y&#39;know, all the details being different.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It&#8217;s pretty awful, all right. \u00a0Sort of like, oh, an African-American palling around with David Duke.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He refuses to live on the Democratic \u201cplantation,\u201d and so had to be punished for trying to escape on the underground railroad.<\/p>\n<p>The folks that went after runaway slave Dred Scott to bring him back into slavery evidently have risen from the dead and gone after Taylor Garrett.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, Bryan, a couple of alleged vandalism efforts, one of which supposedly turned into a punch in the eye, are clearly a massive Democratic conspiracy, and moral and functional the equivalent of the Southern slaveholders.<\/p>\n<p>Do you even listen to the zaniness coming out of your keyboard, Bryan?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It\u2019s spooked him enough that he\u2019s unlikely to return to the TV show next season.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Golly.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Garrett\u2019s illusions about homosexual activists have disappeared in the fog created by their hatred. \u201cI would\u2019ve thought people would have been a little more tolerant considering that our community advocates for tolerance, but it has been nothing but mean spirited attacks.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Honestly speaking, anyone who hangs out with Ann Coulter is going to get some attacks, mean-spirited or not. \u00a0Ditto fellow media dolts like Malkin, Limbaugh and &#8230; well, I&#8217;m afraid you, too, Bryan.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Welcome to the club.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yup.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, those sorts of attacks should not include physical violence.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Homosexual activists have their own version of Sharia law and their own version of jihad, and Taylor Garrett ran afoul of their Sharia law and thus became a victim of gay jihad as a result.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Really. \u00a0You&#8217;re really going to go there, Bryan?<\/p>\n<p>First, you lay this out as some sort of activist conspiracy. \u00a0There&#8217;s no basis for thinking that, but it plays to your thesis.<\/p>\n<p>But, secondly, this is hardly a &#8220;gay jihad&#8221; or &#8220;Sharia law,&#8221; and given your obsessive hatred of Muslims, Bryan, you should know. \u00a0At most, if everything portrayed actually happened, then we had a rock through the window with a threatening message, and an act of vandalism that turned into punch and then the assailant fleeing.<\/p>\n<p>Do you really need someone to list out the assaults, beatings, rapes, and killings of gay people in this country, committed by yahoos cranked up on hatred and fear and folks like you, Bryan, telling them that gay people are going to eat their children and burn their churches and destroy their nation? \u00a0Because, honestly, I don&#8217;t have time to rattle off more than a few from a casual Google search &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.koaa.com\/news\/gay-soldiers-beaten-in-possible-hate-crime\/\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/thenewcivilrightsmovement.com\/ohio-hate-crime-beating-school-hid-critical-information-from-authorities\/news\/2011\/10\/28\/29371\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.towleroad.com\/2011\/10\/gay-man-stabbed-beaten-burned-in-hate-crime-in-rural-texas.html\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/2011\/10\/24\/scottish-man-beaten-burned-alive-in-possible-gay-hate-crime\/\">here<\/a>\u00a0&#8212; \u00a0and say, are you really arguing that what happened to Taylor Garrett, even if every word is the Gospel truth, really compares, and really indicates that it&#8217;s some mysterious gay activist conspiracy that&#8217;s behind all the <em>real<\/em> hate crimes out there?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I have been widely pilloried for correctly reminding the public that although Nazis did punish homosexuals who didn\u2019t fit their mold (the effeminate kind), they were almost without exception homosexuals themselves.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Actually, you&#8217;ve been widely pilloried for the whole &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2011\/10\/25\/bryan-fischer-is-a-dolt-gays-are-evil-mass-murderers-edition.html\">Nazis were all gays, so all gays are Nazis<\/a>&#8221; disredited drivel you keep dragging up.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Well, you can ask Taylor Garrett if homosexuals ever attack homosexuals, and he\u2019ll set your mind straight on that one.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Actually, it wouldn&#8217;t surprise me if homosexuals ever attack homosexuals. \u00a0Heterosexuals have been known to attack heterosexuals, and Christians attack Christians, and Republicans attack Republicans, and &#8230; well, you get the idea.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t think anyone has ever claimed that gays are pacifists and possessed of uttermost patience, virtue, and lovingkindness, any more than any other humans. But it&#8217;s one thing to agree that they aren&#8217;t, and another thing to paint them as some sort of &#8220;Gaystapo&#8221; out to impose &#8220;gay Sharia&#8221; in some sort of &#8220;gay jihad&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Garrett gamely tries to make the case that all of us in the pro-family community make, that \u201cjust because you don\u2019t support gay marriage doesn\u2019t make you a bigot, doesn\u2019t mean you hate gay people, it just means you disagree on gay issues.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I can see that argument, on one level. \u00a0On the other hand, if someone were to say, &#8220;Christianity is dangerous, and Christians should not be allowed to worship together,&#8221; I think you would be the first in line to say that was a bigoted statement, and that it shows hatred of Christians, and that it doesn&#8217;t just mean you disagree on religious issues.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He correctly observes that the left has \u201cdemonized\u201d anyone who will not meekly capitulate to their rage-fueled demands for recognition of homosexual \u201cmarriage.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rage-filled? \u00a0I don&#8217;t think <em>I&#8217;m<\/em> rage-filled. \u00a0Indeed, of the two people in this hypothetical conversation, Bryan, I think I&#8217;m definitely on the lower end of the rage teeter-totter.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He\u2019s learned the hard way that gay activists are so rabidly committed to their cause that speaking the truth has now become a hate crime in their book, and free speech is synonymous with hate speech in their twisted view of the world and human sexuality.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Um, no, if we assume he is telling the gospel truth about what&#8217;s happened to him, then he&#8217;s learned that there are some individuals (probably gay) \u00a0that find his hanging out with a notoriously awful person who&#8217;s spoken out against gays on numerous\u00a0occasions to be cause for vandalism and (when confronted) a punch in the eye.<\/p>\n<p>Which, again, are actions I condemn, but which pale in comparison to the authentic hate crimes committed against gays every day (and the anti-gay vitriol which drips from the mouths of folks like you, Bryan).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Our list of hate crimes committed by pro-homosexual bigots just since last spring is now up to a baker\u2019s dozen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Except I&#8217;ve yet to see you come up with something that&#8217;s really a hate crime, Bryan.
