When you vote (or if you voted) do you vote based on the issues or the political party of the candidates?

Oh. See above.

I try to follow along these issues. Unfortunately, most political campaigns devolve into sound bites carefully scripted to attract core constituencies. On the bright side, rarely is someone so whacked-out fringe (on either side) that their strange policy stances are meaningful.

3. Remember that time when you were a kid and you were playing in the sandbox and you picked up a handful of sand and you ate is and you said it was “good”? Yeah, that was great.

Never been much for eating sand or dirt. Gritty. Crunchy in a bad way. Bleah.

4. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?

Aside from right where I am (which would be my default answer)?

If elsewhere in the US, probably back in Southern California, which, while having much to recommend against it, has two sets of grandparents it would be grand to live closer to.

If not in the US, either Britain or Eire. No language barrier (well, not much of one), and a relatively decent commitment to freedom.

5. If you could speak any language other than your native tounge, what would you speak and why?

I’d like to speak Japanese. First off, even though they’ve been in the dumps for a decade, Japan will be back on the world scene soon enough.
