<\/a>Woke up last night with the smell of campfire in my mouth. Woke up Kitten, coughing, at least once, too, and I assume the same for Margie.<\/p>\n

Bleah.<\/p>\n

Things with the Hayman Fire <\/a>are trending worse again, as 90º+ weather, plus gusty winds and low humidity, stir things up. Winds have been coming back from the S-SW again, blowing the fire back up toward Denver, and prompting more threats of evacuation. The fire is supposedly 47% contained, but that’s always an “as long as” sort of figure.<\/p>\n

The map above shows the fire line status from 10 a.m. yesterday, with established fire lines in black. That should <\/i>keep the fire from spreading much north, but a big jump on the east side yesterday caused havoc.<\/p>\n
