Time, once again (at last) for The Friday Five<\/a><\/p>\n

1. How often do you do laundry?<\/b> Interval between laundery is the shortest of (a) Katherine to run out of clean clothes, (b) Margie or I to run out of some essential clothing item, or (c) the pile of laundery in the bathroom reaching small-child-crushing proportions and Margie or I getting sick of it.<\/p>\n

Margie usually initiates it. Probably just as well not to think of how often I’d do laundery if left to my own devices.<\/p>\n

2. What’s in a typical wash load?<\/b> Clothes. Lots of clothes. Usually sorted between delicates, reds, darks, lights. <\/p>\n

Towels (lots of hand towels, since these seem to evaporate from the kitchen, reappear as napkins\/hand towels by Kitten’s plate, then reappear in the Family Room in a similar Kitten-cleaning function, then just get tossed straight onto the washing machine). <\/p>\n

Sheets on occasion.<\/p>\n

3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent? <\/b>Top-loader wash, front-loader (gas) dry. Liquid detergent, usually bought in hernia-inducing drums from CostCo. <\/p>\n

4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle? <\/b> Yup.<\/p>\n

5. Dryer or clothesline?<\/b> Dryer. I think the HOA has regs against clothes lines, and, frankly, without something buzzing to tell us things are dry, we’d likely never recover our laundery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
