You would think, you would <i>hope,<\/i> that the leading contender for the nomination would be so fully briefed on the matter that he keeps inadvertently slipping into Farsi when he gets up to talk.<\/p>\n<p>And yet here&#39;s Mitt making silly geographical gaffes, mouthing talking points, and invoking St Ronald of Blessed Memory as the model for his Iranian policy (this would be the St Ronald that &quot;October Surprise&quot; negotiated with them over the hostage crisis, sold weapons to the, to illicitly fund the Contras, and who then backed <i>Saddam Hussein<\/i> in his war on the regime).
