It's unfortunate that Denver is (relatively) isolated from so many other cities I end up traveling to, otherwise I'd definitely consider driving more often. When you're taking a week off for a vacation, adding days (or cutting in days) to deal with driving there, though, has a major impact vs the unpleasantness (but usual briefness) of dealing with the TSA (and other air travel problems). <\/p>\n

On the other hand, I might think about it for our travel out to California next holiday season. The parents and in-laws are driving out to us a lot less often, and it would be a useful way to ferry some stuff back home. Worth consideration, esp. with the airlines and TSA providing such encouragement.<\/p>\n

I'm very much of the opinion that if I can drive there I'll do so rather than deal with the TSA. As far as I'm concerned, I'll only fly if there's no other option.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe TSA is quickly becoming America's most hated agency (you're welcome meter maids) and for damn good reason\u2014stealing from veterans, hassling kids, hassling handicapped kids, and stealing from everybody else. They've become a greater threat than whatever they're supposed to be protecting us from.
So when considering transportation for my trip to LA this weekend, I realized that I would rather drive 14 hours in three days than deal with the hassles the TSA present (lord know what No-Fly lists…\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
